Carol (Vest) Hutto

Carol Vest Hutto, 88, of North passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Thomas Brookshire will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church, 594 Calvary Church Road in Neeses.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Fisk, John Searson, Braxton Judy and Michael Addy.

Mrs. Hutto was born in Pikeville, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Fern Goode Vest.  She worked for many years with the City of Orangeburg in the accounting department. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Wayne Hutto and brothers, Douglas Vest, Charles Vest and Curtis Vest, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Richard Wayne Hutto; grandchildren, Chase Wayne Hutto, Brittney Judy, Amber Searson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Vicky Addy and a nephew, Michael Addy.
