Charlie Cornelious
Shuler, Jr.
August 6, 1983 – May 24, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie Cornelious Shuler, Jr., who was taken from us unexpectedly on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born on August 6, 1983, to the late Charlie C. "Neil" Shuler, Sr. and Thelma L. "Lauretta" Pendarvis Shuler. Charlie lived a life richly textured by his passions and the deep love he held for his family and friends.
Charlie graduated in 2001 from Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School, a milestone that marked the beginning of a fulfilling career. He found great joy and purpose in his work alongside Ed Salley at Road and Track Cycles, a partnership that spanned over two decades. Together, they shared a bond forged through their shared love of motorcycles and small engines—interests that were not merely hobbies but defining pieces of Charlie’s soul. His love for riding motorcycles was not just a pastime but a reflection of the freedom and adventure that fueled his spirit.
Charlie leaves behind his wife, Bambi Axson Shuler. Five wonderful children: Charlie C. "CC" Shuler, III, Auvry M. Shuler, Ian D. Shuler, Kaidan C. Shuler, and Freya D. Shuler. Their home was filled with laughter, love, and the enduring legacy of a father who cherished every moment with them.
He also leaves a wide circle of additional family and friends who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and unwavering loyalty. The loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charlie C. "Neil" Shuler, Sr., whose memory and influence were clearly reflected in the life Charlie Jr. led.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Charlie's memory may be made to Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. at 1012 Whitman Street Orangeburg, S.C. 29115.
Though his departure has left a void impossible to fill, the memories of Charlie’s infectious enthusiasm for life, his dedication to his family, and his gentle spirit will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. His journey may have ended far too soon, but the impact of his life will endure.
Rest in peace, Charlie Cornelious Shuler, Jr. Your ride may have ended, but the road you paved will guide us always.
