Christopher "S.T." David Walters

Christopher David “S.T.” Walters, 57, husband of Tracey Walters passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Chris was born on January 15, 1969. He was the son of John Cicero Walters and Joann Peters Walters. He graduated from St. George High School. Chris was employed with Jacobs Engineering Group. Chris was a devoted husband, father, friend, and employee. We will forever love Chris for the loving, compassionate, and joyful man he always was.

Chris is survived by his wife, Tracey Walters, of 30 years; his son, Slade Christopher Walters; his daughter, Haven Nicole Walters; sister, Tammy (James) Fralix; brother-in-law, Gene Ulmer; nephews, Dustin (Tara) Walters, Eric Fralix, and Brent Ulmer; neices, Ava Ulmer, Katlyn Ulmer, and Isabella Walters; father and mother in law, Barney and Roberta Ulmer; and an additional number of family and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his father Cicero Walters; mother Joann Walters; brother, Mark Walters; grandparents, John Sharrick Walters and Susie Connelly Walters; and Francis Washington Peters and Mabell Carn Peters.

A service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 3:30 pm, Friday, June 19,2026 at Four Holes Baptist Church 1622 Four Holes Rd, Orangeburg, SC, 29115.  Visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 -3:00 pm prior to the service. Pastor Chad Garris will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orangeburg SPCA (www.orangeburgspca.org/donations), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or a charity of ones choice.

Chris worked hard, lived hard, and loved hard. Chris never met a stranger and if he did they became a friend. He was always willing to help others anywhere, anytime, and on anything. He would give you the shirt off his back. He considered himself a blue collar worker and enjoyed getting his hands dirty. He was devoted to his family and friends, and held their happiness in high regard. Other than his family and work, one of his true passions was riding his motorcycle.
