Clarence "C.J." Syphrett

Clarence “C.J.” Syphrett ,  80   of Neeses   passed away Wednesday,  September 28, 2016   at the

Regional Medical Center   in Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2016 before the service at the church.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at

Providence Baptist Church, 51 Providence Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118

with Rev. Steve Rucker officiating.

Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg is assisting the family.

He was born July 30, 1936 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Eugene

Syphrett and the late Maggie Harden Syphrett. He was a member of the Bible

Church of God in Cordova. He worked at Holman’s Grocery Store for 20 years and

was retired from Roper Outdoor Products after 25 years of service. CJ was a simple

man who loved God, his church and his family. His girls were his pride and joy. He was

a loving father and dedicated to family and was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was

the widower of his wife of 40 years, Joyce Syphrett and was preceded in death by a son; Mark

Syphrett; 3 brothers; Charlie, Willie and Morgan Syphrett and by a sister; Bernice Stuckey.

Survivors  include 4 daughters; Mary Ellisor of Cope; Pamela Metts of Orangeburg; Dale

Bessinger of Neeses; Roxanne (Tommy) Haselden of St. Matthews; 11 grandchildren; 12

great grandchildren and a brother; Roy Syphrett of Georgia.
