Claus King, Jr. passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2026, after an extended illness. He was 69.

Mr. King retired as a police officer with the City of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, a role that reflected his deep commitment to service. He loved being a law enforcement officer and carried that same sense of duty into other parts of his life as well. He was a member of Four Holes Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where he served as the Security Team leader. He loved his church family and was devoted to the fellowship and responsibilities he found there.

Outside of his work and church service, Mr. King enjoyed hunting and fishing, pastimes that brought him great pleasure over the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claus King, Sr., and his mother, Beryl King.

He is also survived by his lifelong friend who became family, Daniel Stroman (Kathie). In addition, he leaves behind his nephews, Tybee Stroman and his wife, Rebecca; Jacob Stroman and his wife, Chassidy; and Daniel Stroman and his wife, Faren. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry King.
