Cole Livingston Smith, Jr. , 70 of 5865 Heritage Hwy; Bamberg died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at UniHealth Post-Acute Care in Bamberg.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Smith Family Cemetery in Bamberg with Pastor Shawn Hanks and Minister Jack Cooper officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg Pallbearers will be his nephews; J.W. Robinson, Tom Summers, Inman Summers, Aubrey Smith, Paul Proveaux, Chris Proveaux, Milton Hiott and Wyman Robinson.

He was born September 21, 1942 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Cole L. Smith, Sr. and the late Maybelle Proveaux Smith. He was a member of Bamberg Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a grandson; Corey Hiott.

Survivors include his wife; Lenora Jeffcoat Smith of Bamberg; his children; Melvin Ray Smith (Kimberly) of Cope; Milton D. Hiott (Joyce) of Branchville; Lisa L. Steedly (Duane) of Ehrhardt; Floyd A. Hiott (Erica) of Cope and Clarence M. Hiott (Susan) of Bamberg; 14 grandchildren; Paul Proveaux, Christopher Proveaux, Sarah'lee Maynard, Michelle Jolly, She're Hiott, Stephen Hiott, Kaylen Hiott, Allen Hiott, Selena Hiott, Brittney Hiott, Don'Alyssa Steedly, Delaney Steedly, Shay'Lyn Kittrell and Thomas Kittrell; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother; Jack and Marilyn Smith of Cordova; 2 sisters; Arlene and George Kirby of Cordova; Elaine and Wyman Robinson of Cope; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence of Ray and Kimberly Smith; 5807 Slab Landing Road; Cope, SC and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
