Colie Charlie Fanning, Jr. , 74 366 Greatview Road; Neeses died Saturday April 20, 2013 at his residence.

***The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service*** Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Neeses with burial in the church cemetery directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg with Rev. Mark Altman and Rev. Neil Flowers officiating.

Pallbearers will be his nephews; Alan Fanning, Josh Fanning, Cole Irick, Billy Bryant, Gus M. Browning III, Michael Collins, William Collins, John Browning and Chris Browning.

He was born November 30, 1938 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Coley Charlie Fanning, Sr. and the late Creola Davis Fanning. He was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and was a TV Technician. He was preceded in death by a sister; the late Jean F. Bryant.

Survivors include his wife; Joanne B. Fanning of the home; 3 daughters; Peggy F. Chavis of Lexington; Debbie F. Mack (Kenny) of Cameron and Judy R. Krenzer of Rock Hill; 1 son; Gregory Fanning of Neeses; 2 sisters; Carolyn F. Smithson of Neeses and Nancy F. Rogers of Little River; 2 brothers; Remo F. Fanning and Steven D. Fanning (Sherry) both of Neeses; 5 grandchildren; Lance Fanning of Neeses; Gregory A. (Nicole) Fanning of Cordova; Alex Chavis; Breana Chavis both of Lexington and Cory Mack of Cameron and 1 great grand-daughter; Allie Fanning of Cordova.

Friends may call at the residence; 366 Greatview Road; Neeses and at the funeral home. VISITATION WILL BE HELD 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. MEMORIALS MAY BE MADE TO Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.; 1012 Whitman Street; Orangeburg, SC 29115.
