Colie Edsel Jumper, 84 died Saturday, March 5, 2016 surrounded by family at his home in Orangeburg.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 7, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM with funeral service to follow.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Dr. Shane Stutzman, Rev. Jim Parnell and Chase Allen officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
He was born October 17, 1931 to the late Colie and Ola Jumper. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a member of Cornerstone Sunday School class. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He loved antique cars, square dancing and the Gaither Vocal Band. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was, and is, loved by many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Jean Berry Jumper.
He is survived by his two sons, Eddie (Karen) Jumper of Gaston and Stephen Jumper of Orangeburg; brother, James (Joann) Jumper of West Columbia and two sisters; Norma Jean Rucker of Cayce and Dale (Tommy) Wannamaker of Swansea; three granddaughters; Lauren Jumper, Kathleen (J.C.) Davis and Mary Kate Jumper; a great granddaughter; McKayla Tyler and a loving pet Zeus.
Visitation will be held 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at the church before the funeral.
The Family will receive friends at the residence after the services.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT MEMORIALS be made to South Carolina Oncology Association (SCOA) of Columbia, Grove Park Hospice of Orangeburg or Cornerstone Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church.
