Daniel "Dj" Joseph Ellis

Daniel Joseph “DJ” Ellis passed away at his home on Saturday, June 24, 2023.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all that he met.

DJ was of the Baptist faith.  He was a true believer and follower of God.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was also a shriner.  His laugh was infectious, and he could light up a room with his smile.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Trina Lynn Ellis; daughter, Amber Rayne; son, Daniel “Deuce” Joseph Ellis, II; parents, Danny and Nina Ellis; brother, Chris Ellis (Bethany); sister, Tammy (Mack) Irick; mother-in-law, Charlotte Adams; father-in-law, George (Rhonda) Adams; sisters-in-law, Lee Ann Jacobs, Kristen (Matthew) Mixon; brother-in-law, Chaz Adams and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Highland Baptist Church, 4695 North Rd, Orangeburg.  Rev. Jim Broad will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.

The family requests that everyone please dress casually.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Highland Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Nathan Wilson, Jayson Winningham, Lanny Crider, Jimmy Chavis, Prime Nuno and Mack Irick, Jr.

Friends may call the residence of his parents, Danny and Nina Ellis.
