Daniel “Dan” Moore, 75, of Ladson passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.
Dan was born in Ionia, Michigan to the late Cleo Moore and the late Ethel Conner Moore. After high school, he worked with GM doing what he loved, automotive painting. He married the love of his life, and they moved their family to Arizona for many years. He settled in South Carolina for the last twenty-five years. Once he retired, he could enjoy the things that he loved. You could find him tinkering on just about anything, whether it was making walking canes, painting cars, fishing or just being outside. Dan had a knack for whistling but could not sing a note. He loved to make people smile. Even when he felt his worst, he wanted to make someone else feel better by just laughing. He considered his family his greatest accomplishment. He was a loving husband, father, “Pa” and “Gramps” that will forever be missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 57 years, Barbara Rich Moore; children, Daniel Moore, II, Angela Meade (Robert); grandchildren, Rev. Alexander Meade (Vanessa) and Rebekah Moore.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 147 Smoak Road, Dorchester, S.C. 29437.
