David Lynn Smoak, 67 died Tuesday at his residence on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his residence.
A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Smoak Family Cemetery in Cordova with Rev. Richard Ehrhardt officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Smoak, Zachary Smoak, Guy Moorer, Kevin Proveaux, Travis Chavis, Aubrey Smith and Donald Kemmerlin
Mr. Smoak was born August 6, 1949 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of Ollie Hutto Smoak Nettles and the late Tom David Smoak. He was retired from the S.C. Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife; Vickie Shuler Smoak of Cordova; 1 son; Ryan (Dana) Smoak of Orangeburg; 1 step-son; Koletan Crosby of Cordova; 2 grandchildren; Caleb Smoak and Zachary Smoak both of Orangeburg; his Mother, Ollie Hutto Smoak Nettles of Orangeburg; 1 brother; Tommy (Linda) Smoak of Cordova; 3 sisters; Janie (Tarzan) Wisher; Blenda Chavis and Wanda (Ricky) Kittrell all of Cordova; his aunt; Geneva Baldwin of Cordova; a number of nieces and nephews and a special companion, Cotton.
Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
