Dennis "Curly" Kerwin Rider, Sr.

Dennis Kerwin “Curly” Rider, Sr., 64, of Cordova passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

The casket will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on  Friday, June 8, 2018 at Highland Baptist Church in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.   Rev. Charlie Snipes will be officiating.  The family requests that everyone dress casual for the service.

He was born on July 18, 1953 in Rock Hill, SC.  He was the son of  Lorene Munn Rider and the late John C. Rider. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Johnny Rider and Myron Rider.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Scott Rider of the home; son, Dennis Kerwin  (Karen) Rider, Jr. of Cordova; daughter, Wendy Griggs of Livingston; four grandchildren, Jake, Mikayla, Joshua and Elijah; his mother, Lorene Munn Rider of Cordova; three brothers, Malcolm Rider, Don Rider and Kevin Rider and a sister, Patricia “Sissy” Jennings.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.; 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115.
