Donald Casper Alexander , 86 of Orangeburg died Monday, September 15, 2014 died at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service at the church Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Orangeburg with burial Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Gary Peterson officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Pallbearers will be Louis Boone, Don Tribble, Ken Stoval, Burt Zeigler, Perry Arant, J.T. Champy and William Inabinet. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class He was born July 9, 1928 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late William W. Alexander, Sr. and the late Daisy Inabinet Alexander. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard for a total combined time of 22 years. He was retired from the Times and Democrat as a Circulation Manager; a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church; a member of the Orangeburg Elks Lodge #897. He was preceded in death by a son; Donald Haile Alexander; a brother; William "Bill" Alexander and a sister; Nancy Alexander Hunt. Survivors includes his wife of 60 years; Mrs. Sara Haile Alexander of the home; nephews and nieces; Mike (Sonia) Hunt, Kevin Hunt and Gail Hunt Keitt all of Orangeburg; Ellen Alexander of Charleston and David Alexander of Maryland and a sister-in-law; Billie Alexander of Orangeburg. VISITATION will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 16, 2014 before the service at the church.
