Donald “Donnie” Lee Aaron, born on October 19, 1956, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 69.

Donnie is survived by his mother, Melba (Juanice) Young Aaron, his daughter, Stevi Aaron Creel (Benjamin); his grandchildren, Emma Roach, Easton Creel, and Blake Creel; his brother, Stan Aaron; his sister, Dawn Herron (Danny); his life partner, Mary Westberry and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Obie Lee Aaron, Jr., and his grandparents, Mr. Obie Lee Aaron, Sr. and Mrs. Madalee Cook Aaron.

Donnie was a master carpenter. He worked with Loveless construction for many years. Donnie enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Those who knew him will remember his appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures of being outside.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Donnie’s life during a visitation on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 1012 Whitman Street SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Donnie's memory to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.

Donnie will be remembered by those whose lives he touched, and his memory will remain with his family and friends.
