Donnie Richard Gammons, 70 of 156 Retha Road, Orangeburg died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 30, 2014 at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Ike Kittrell and Pastor Shellie Stewart officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
He was born January 14, 1944 in Camden, SC; the son of Beatrice Judy Gammons and the late Alphonso Gammons. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an electrician.
Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Kittie Sullivan Gammons of Orangeburg; his Mother; Beatrice Judy Gammons of Orangeburg; 2 sons; Donnie Gammons of West Columbia and James Gammons of Burlington, NC; 4 daughters; Sheila Mickas and Beth Gammons both of Los Angeles, CA; Theresa Ledford of Red Bank, SC and Sherry Mayfield of Tulsa, OK and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 sister; Lois Tyler of Orangeburg and 1 brother, Mitchell Gammons both of Orangeburg.
