Doris (Wynns) Berry

Doris Wynns Berry, 93, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Services include visitation at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 20th with the funeral to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Bowman Southern Methodist Church, 310 Reevesville Road, Bowman. Rev. Dr. Dan Thigpen will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowman Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Berry, Robert Stroman, Jeffery Stroman, Dalton Ethridge, Rem Williams, and Timothy James "TJ" Hickman.

Mrs. Berry was born on October 27th, 1931, in Branchville, SC, the daughter of the late James Tucker Wynns and Bertha Myers Wynns Wilson.

She was a member at Bowman Southern Methodist Church and a member of the adult Sunday school class. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was the bookkeeper for Berry Dairy Farms and Par Three Poultry. She was a wonderful cook, housewife, and loved to sew. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with all her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Irvin Berry, a daughter, Elaine Stroman Shepard, a son-in-law, Rick Stroman, a grandson, Cameron Bates Berry, sisters, Thelma Thompson, Irene Bacot, Elsie Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Clint (Susan) Berry, Barry (Allison) Berry, Grandchildren, Robert (Melissa) Stroman, Jeffery Stroman, Tori (Brice) Shuler, Allie (“Doodle”) Mitchell, Jack (Kelly) Berry, one great grandchild due in June 2025, Sullivan Tanner Shuler, a sister, Bernice Tanner of Columbia, and a brother-in-law, Rentz (Caroline) Berry of Greenville.

The family would like to specially thank Diane, Robin, Jacob, and the entire Amedisys Hospice Team for all their love and support shown towards Mrs. Berry.
