It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy A. Foxworth, 83, announce her unexpected passing on Friday, September 25, 2026. Born on January 28, 1943, Dorothy will be remembered as a true southern lady whose presence brought warmth, style, and unmistakable charm to those around her.

Dorothy enjoyed life in ways that reflected her spirited and graceful nature. She loved to shop, treasured perfume and jewelry, and found joy in trips to Cherokee and Mississippi to the casino. She also enjoyed spending time watching Dr. Phil on television. These simple pleasures were part of what made her so memorable to the people who knew and loved her.

Above all, Dorothy’s life was centered on family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Daniel Foxworth; her son, Tracy Foxworth; her parents, Henry and Pearl Fuller, a brother and two sisters.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love: her daughter, Tonya J. Carter (Chris); her sons, John Owens and James Owens (Cindy); her granddaughters, Heather Nicole Thomas (Dillon), Taylor Rayne Hinshaw (Matthew), and Kylee Renae Carter; her great-grandchildren, Emma Jean Thomas and Gatlin Cole Thomas; and her sisters, Bobbie and Marie. In each of their lives, Dorothy leaves a lasting imprint, and her love will continue to be felt in the stories they share and the memories they hold close.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, South Carolina 29118. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jim Parnell will be officiating.
