Douglas "Doug" Evan Hildebrand

Douglas “Doug” Evan Hildebrand, 70, of Orangeburg passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Doug was born in Aiken, S.C. to the late Charles W. Hildebrand and the late Dorothy Hutto Hildebrand.  He was the owner and operator of Palmetto Signs for over 10 years until his health began to decline.  He and his family were faithful members of Four Holes Baptist Church.  Doug was a true man of God; he believed in helping others and placing their needs above his own. You could find him hunting, fishing or gardening in his spare time.  The love he had for his family and his church will truly be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Donna H. Hildebrand; daughters, Meg Jacobs, Fran Hildebrand (Wesley); grandchildren, Cassidy Ott (Bryan), Marissa Jacobs, Taylor Hildebrand, Weston Page; great-grandchildren, Waylon Hildebrand, Charlie Hildebrand, McKenzie Hildebrand; sisters, Lisa Cecchini (Rosario), Marty Bradford (Bob), Leslie Hildebrand; a number of nieces and nephews, a special “sister”, June Zulkey and cherished friends, Donna and Windy Greene.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 at Four Holes Baptist Church, 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg on Sunday, October 15, 2023.  Rev. Ken Tripp will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service at Four Holes Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Bragg Williams, Algie Rutland, Will Porter, Weldon Burns, Windy Greene, and Julius Craven.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Four Holes Bible study Class.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Four Holes Baptist Church at 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg, S.C. 29115.
