Edward Cecil Huggins

Edward Cecil Huggins, 77, of North passed away at home on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Swansea Baptist Church, 145 South Church Street, Swansea.  Rev. Matt Elmore will be officiating.

Edward was born in Kingston, New York and was a long-time resident of Phoenicia, New York before moving to South Carolina.  He was the only child of the late Edward C. Huggins and the late Phoebe Van Leuven Huggins.  He served his country in the United Sates Navy from 1965-1969.  Edward was a faithful member of Swansea First Baptist Church where he was an active parishioner and participated in multiple mission trips to Kenya.  He enjoyed fellowship with his church family.  Edward loved telling jokes and doing pranks and will be fondly remembered and missed for his friendship and kind heart.
