Edward K. "Ted" Dingley passed away peacefully at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Orangeburg, SC on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordova with burial in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian Self officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Ted was born November 14, 1933 in Mt. Leonard, MO; the son of the late William Roy Dingley and the late Allie Mayfield Dingley. He joined the Air Force at 17 years old and was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Mary "Janice" Miller on September 19, 1953. He graduated from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins with a degree in Zoology. Ted then went to work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 29 years working in Fish Hatcheries in Arkansas, Alabama and spending 18 years at the National Fish Hatchery in Orangeburg, SC. He was a Foremost Authority on Atlantic Sturgeon. He was the widower of the late Mary "Janice" Dingley.
Survivors include 4 children; (U.S. Air Force Retired) Col. David (Virginia) Dingley of Rockledge, FL; Eric (Nancy) Dingley of Cordova, SC; Neil (Beverly) Dingley of Woodstock, GA and Susan (Clint) Berry of Bowman, 13 grandchildren; Angela (Jami) Sylas, Edward (Brandy) Dingley, Coralea Dingley, Tamatha Dingley, Laura (Lenny) Price, Rebecca Dingley, Mary Ellen Dingley, Sarah Dingley, Royce Dingley, Bailey Dingley, Allie Berry and Jack Berry; 1 brother; John (Wilma) Dingley of Taylors, SC.
Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the church Sunday before the service.
