Elizabeth Charlene "Skeeta" Garced, born on June 17, 1959, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2026. A cherished soul who deeply loved her family, Elizabeth’s life was woven with love, laughter, and countless treasured moments.
Elizabeth had a heart that found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in crocheting intricate patterns that warmed the hearts of those around her and found peace in bird watching, marveling at the gentle beauty of nature. Her infectious spirit extended to her fondness for watching police shows and the classic comedy of Sanford and Son.
Family was at the core of Elizabeth’s being. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Charles Dyson (Karie), Victor Garced, Jr. (Chrissey), Paula Garced, Raymond Garced (Monica), and Trisha Cobb (Mason). Her legacy shines brightly through her fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Elizabeth also leaves behind brothers Michael Dyson (Princess) and Bruce Dyson (Billie), as well as sisters Sharon Sugia (Brian) and Annette Challenger. Her home was also graced by her beloved fur babies, "Minnie and Tootie", who were cherished companions. A number of nieces, nephews, and dear friends further reflect the rich tapestry of connections she nurtured throughout her life.
Elizabeth’s journey was preceded by several loved ones: her parents, Charles and Clara Dyson; her husband, Victor Garced, Sr.; her daughter, Angelina Gallegos; her great-grandson, Cekaree Johnson; and her brothers James Dyson and Charles Dyson, along with her sisters Cricket Ahl and Tippy Boyert.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Elizabeth’s life will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115.
Elizabeth Charlene Garced’s life was a testament to unwavering love, quiet strength, and the beauty found in everyday moments. Though she has left this world, her spirit endures in the hearts of her family and friends, forever woven into the fabric of their lives. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
