Elizabeth "Lib" Louise (Mcgugan) Inman

Elizabeth “Lib” Louise Inman was born on March 8, 1937, in Chesterfield County, and passed from this life on Friday, October 11, 2024, at approximately 11:20 P.M. She was 87 years old.

Lib had a deep love for the Lord and His people. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in church. She was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy in St. Matthews, S.C., where she taught Sunday School and played music for worship services.

Lib cherished spending time in the mountains and hosting family and friends at home. She especially enjoyed playing Aggravation with her aunt and friends. Family gatherings during Thanksgiving and Christmas were among her most treasured moments.

She was predeceased by her husband, Willie Inman; her parents, Make and Viola McGugan; her brothers, Vernon McGugan and Ellis McGugan; sisters-in-law, Catherine, Lillian, and Jean McGugan; and nephews, Vernon McGugan, Jr. and Michael McGugan.

Lib is survived by her brothers, Glen (Sandra) McGugan and Billy McGugan, Sr.; her “sister,” Gladys (Tommy) Garrick; her “daughter and best friend,” Felicia Grooms; her aunt, Betty Jean Steen; a special nephew, Glen McGugan, Jr.; a special niece, Linda McGugan Parris; and many additional nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends will gather at the home of Dave and Linda Parris, 4773 Edgewood Drive, Orangeburg, S.C.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Shawn Hanks will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, prior to the funeral service.
