Ella C. Rourk Keitt, 91 of Orangeburg died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at UniHealth Post-Acute Care in Orangeburg

Visitation will be held 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday before the service at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. David Childers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Faitsie Bair, Donnie Bair, Timmy Bair, William Zeigler, Chris Long, Bill Hilderbrand and Marion Mackey

She was born December 24, 1922 in Elloree, SC; the daughter of the late Bennie Shuler Rourk and the late Ruth Rast Rourk Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg; a membe r of the Christian Women Association of First Baptist Church. Her family was her life; she loved her family and her church and church family. She taught Preschool Sunday School for over 35 years. She was the widow of the late John C. Keitt and was preceded in death by her grandson; Shane Brown; a sister; Philathea Bair; a brother; S.B. Rourk and a nephew; Barry Zeigler.

SURVIVORS include 2 daughters; Linda and James Brown of Springfield, SC; Judy and Gary Brister of Dry Prong, LA; 1 son; John T. and Martha Keitt of Taylor's , SC; 4 grandchildren; Shuri Brown of Springfield; Kellie Dempsey of Missouri; Patrick Keitt of Taylor's and Ethnie Keitt of Greer; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Gloria Zeigler of Elloree and Barbara Larson of Sumter and a number of nieces and nephews.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE residence and at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence after the graveside service.

VISITATION WILL BE HELD 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday before the service.
