Emily Carolyn Gray, 68, died Friday September 27, 2013 at the Laurel Baye Healthcare in Williston, S.C.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 30, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene on Woodbine Drive with Rev. Will Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Active pallbearers will be David Bazzle, Jay Buettner, Jack Gray, Tre Thorpe, Matt Pendry, Mark Crews.
Mrs. Gray was born January 18, 1945 in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Roy Smith and the late sarah Mander Judy Smith. She was the widow of the late James "Bubba" Calvin Gray. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was retired from Carpenter Technology.
Survivors include one daughter; Melissa Thorpe and son-in-law; Jimmy Thorpe of Springfield; one son; tony gray and daughter-in-law; Alice Gray of Orangeburg; grandchildren; Hailee and Tre Thorpe of Springfield, Jamie and Charlet gray of Orangeburg, Josh gray and lauren toureville, Chris and Abby fralix, Brittany and Kye Keitt all of Orangeburg; and Tina Way of Neeses; great grandchildren; Anthony Gray of Orangeburg, Emma Way and Austin Smith of Neeses, and Bryce and Carson Keitt of Orangeburg;ister, Birdie "John" Williams of Williston; a brother, Gary "Louise" Gray of Orangeburg and lots of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Melissa and Jimmy Thorpe in Springfield.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 450 Woodbine Drive, Orangeburg, S.C. 29115.
