Emma Marie (Irick) Sweatman

Emma Marie Irick Sweatman, 66, of Bowman passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Bowman Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service and other times at Nature Park in Bowman.

Mrs. Sweatman was born on October 13, 1957 in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of Delbert Irick and the late Mary N. Hall Irick.  She was employed with Husqvarna for many years. She was a member of Bowman First Baptist Church and the Orangeburg Line Dancers. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include her son, Johnnie Sweatman (BJ); a granddaughter, Karleigh Sanders (Russ); brothers, Mark Irick, Danny Irick, Jimmy Irick (Diane) a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Johnnie Sweatman, Jr.
