Ernest Sturmus Corbin, 90 of Bamberg died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg

The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church ; 11783 Heritage Highway; in Bamberg with South End Cemetery in Bamberg with burial in Rev. Carol Cannon and Rev. Robert Cannon offciating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

He was born August 5, 1925 in Thomson, GA; the son of the late Clarence Corbin and the late Annie Louise Brock Corbin. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Pharmacist Mate 2/C; He served as Quality Control Officer at Prem-Door for 9 years in Virginia and Florida; he served as plant manager at Lifetime Door Company in Denmark for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years; Vergie Black Corbin of Bamberg; 2 sons; Ernie and Bo; 1daughter; Ernestine; 1 step-daughter; Jane; 8 grandchildren; his special pet; Kakie and his caregiver; Mary Moody.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday in the fellowship hall before the service.
