Visitation will be held 10:00 to 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Chaplain Janice Meyer officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
She was born March 30, 1928 in Colleton County, SC; the daughter of the late Jackson Willis Proveaux and the late Ethel Mae Kinsey Proveaux. She was a retired nurse.

Smith of Summerville; SC(Predeceased daughter; the late Gayle Hunter); son-in-law; Gene Hunter of Hartsville; Grandchildren; Shawn Hunter of Hartsville; Gene Hunter of Hartsville; Tanya Bense of Summerville, Kira Smith of Summerville, Anna Dunn of Milledgeville, GA and Aaron Murphy of Milledgeville, GA; great grandchildren; Cooper, Cody, Branton, Charlize, Jaiden, Regan, Murphie, Issiah, Brice; great great grandchildren; Preston, Presleigh and Gayle; sisters; Ebbie P.Myers of Orangeburg, Margaret Ann P.
