Flossie Mae Carr

Flossie Mae Garrick Carr, 94, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The funeral will be at 12:00 Noon Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Two Mile Baptist Church in Bolentown. Rev. Tant Ehrhardt and Rev. George Still will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Smoak, John Smoak, Jimmy Killingsworth, Steve Price, Stevie Price, Tommy Williams and Timmy Price.

She was born August 6, 1921 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Perry Jervey Garrick and the late Zora Whetstone Garrick. She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church and a member of the Bible Study Class. She was retired from Orangeburg Garment. She was the widow of the late Marion D. Carr.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Mrs. Ronald (Frances) Smoak of Barnwell; Mrs. James (Carolyn) Killingsworth of Lexington; a son; John (Gloria) Carr of Orangeburg; a niece/daughter; Barbara Garrick of Orangeburg; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence of John and Gloria Carr; 2046 Griffith Drive; Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon Saturday before the service at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
