Floyd "Macky" M. Sandel

Mr. Floyd Mack "Macky" Sandel, 71, passed away on June 15, 2025, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the city where he was born and spent his life.

Born on December 24, 1953, in Orangeburg, Mr. Sandel was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and Ethel O'Cain Sandel. Known affectionately as "Macky," he was a man who loved life and cherished being around people. His warm presence and spirited nature left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Judy (Harry) Monroe of St. Matthews, South Carolina, and Dottie (Robert) Brown of Wingate, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his dear friend Carol Peterson of Walhalla, South Carolina, whose companionship brought joy to his later years. A special place in his heart was reserved for his beloved fur baby, "Miss Kitty," who remained a constant source of comfort and affection.  He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Stuart O'Neal Sandel.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Dr. Kimmett Lott will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the memorial service.
