Frances "Penny" Anderson

April 10, 1943 — October 6, 2025

Frances "Penny" Anderson, a beloved mother and grandmother, departed this world on October 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on April 10, 1943, in Asheville, North Carolina, Penny's life was a tapestry of meaningful relationships and joyous moments that defined her.

Throughout her years, Penny found joy in the simplest of pleasures, particularly her love for watching the Atlanta Braves and cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks. As a devoted sports fan, she celebrated victories and faced defeats with unwavering enthusiasm, reflecting her vibrant spirit and zest for life.

Penny's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly rooted in her role as a mother and a cherished "Gaga" and "Granny." She devoted her life to her daughters, Donna C. Bennett (Kirk) and Margaret "Peggy" Chasteen (Brandon), fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that will forever be a cornerstone of their lives. Her grandchildren, Kirsten Bennett and Reegan Chasteen, were the apples of her eye, and her love for them was boundless.

Penny is now reunited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mac and Anne Bell Lewis, her husband, Oliver Lamar "Andy" Anderson, and her brother, Edward "Eddie" Lewis, all of whom preceded her in death. Their spirits will undoubtedly welcome her with open arms, and she will remain in the hearts of those who loved and admired her.

In addition to her immediate family, Penny was cared for profoundly by her special caregiver, Annette Jenkins, who provided comfort and companionship that exemplified Penny's loving nature.

As the days pass, thoughts of Penny will linger in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. The warmth of her spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire her family as they navigate through life without her physical presence.
