Mr. Frank F. Heape, 91, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Lexington, South Carolina.

Born on July 26, 1933, in Calhoun County, South Carolina, Frank was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. and Lynd Shirer Heape. He grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of humility, dedication, and love for family throughout his life.

Frank served honorably in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to duty and country. Following his service, he built a long and respected career with Carolina Eastman, where he worked as a supervisor for many years. Known for being hardworking and dependable, Frank earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

He shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Joan Heape, until her passing. Together they raised their son, Joseph William Heape, whose memory Frank cherished deeply.

Frank’s legacy continues through his grandsons, Joshua Heape (Michelle) and Zachary Heape (Rachel), and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Heape, Harper Heape, and Joey Heape. His enduring love for family was evident in every aspect of his life.

He is also remembered by his sister, Emily Heape; daughter-in-law, Leisa Heape Smoak; sister-in-law, Patricia Heape; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were touched by his quiet strength and unwavering kindness.

In addition to his wife and son, Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred Noblett, Esther Thompson, and Betty Jones; and brothers James William Heape and Thomas Heape.

A Graveside Service will be held on July 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthews Lutheran Church.  Rev. Eric Little will be officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church Parrish.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Joshua Heape, Zachary Heape, John Jones and Talbert Smoak.

Memorials in Frank’s memory may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church at PO Box 427 Cameron, S.C. 29030.

Frank will be remembered as a humble man who lived with integrity and loved deeply. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
