Gavin R. Berry

Mr. Gavin R. Berry, 88, of Orangeburg, S.C., passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Young officiating.  Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Berry, Colt Berry, Wyatt Berry, Jimmy Brown, Ron Phillips, and Tom Furlong.

Mr Berry was born May 25, 1929 in Oneida, Tenn. a son of the late Wade Berry and the late Golda Jones Berry. He was preceded in death by a  brother, Aubrey Berry and a sister, Wadine Loadholt.

Survivors include his wife; Martha Young Berry of Orangeburg; four children; Ronnie Berry, Reggie and Judy Berry, Melanie Berry, and Ja Berry; two step-children; Janet  and Timothy Shafer and Lisa and Marion Logwood both of Orangeburg; seven grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter and his beloved pet dog--Bear.
