Gerald Monroe Lee, Sr.

Gerald Monroe Lee, Sr., 71, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the home of Matthew Lee, 991 Neeses Highway, Orangeburg.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Lee was born in Orangeburg, S.C.  He was the son of the late Herbert H. Lee and the late Loretta Sanford Lee Mott.  He worked for many years with the Albemarle Corporation.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Mike Curls.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah I. Lee; children, Denise Lee Curls, Gerald M. Lee, Jr., Matthew B. Lee (Priscilla), Laurie L. Lyon (Steven); grandchildren, Ian Curls, Matthew B. Lee, Jr., Arebella Lee, River Lee; step-father, Robert Mott; brother, Herbert Lee (Lois); sister, Theresa Quick (Steve) and a number of nieces and nephews.
