Gordon Benjamin "Bud" Parler, 85 of Cope, SC died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his residence.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Military Honors. Rev. Darrell Wilkins will be officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
He was born April 9, 1929 in Norway, SC; the son of the late Frank Benjamin Parler and the late Bessie Davis Parler. He served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Ralph Jennings Parler, Alton Parler and Wilbur Shecut Parler and by 2 sisters; Melvenia Daniels and Mary Alice Kinard.
Survivors include his wife; Mattie Louise Hebrard Parler of Cope; 2 sons; John Parler and wife Denice; Jerry Parler and wife Babette all of Cope; 3 daughters; Sandra Jeffords of Orangeburg; Lisa Auxter of Salley, SC and Joan Cumbee of Orangeburg; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 PM Friday, March 6, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
