Hannah Elizabeth Dukes Floyd, 93, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.   Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Noon on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Rev. Henry Cooper will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Jose Tamayo, Cesar Tamayo, Ronald Betha, Dukes Proctor, Larry Beach, Ernest Goodwin, Harry Kenneth Floyd and Wendell Edwards.

Mrs. Floyd was born on July 4, 1923 in Branchville, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late Homer L. Dukes, Sr. and the late Nettie McAlhany Dukes.  She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Floyd worked for many years at Belk Hudson and White’s Pharmacy in Orangeburg.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest C. “EC” Floyd, Sr., a brother, Homer L. Dukes, Jr. and a sister, Mary Bell Proctor.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Floyd Vaughn (Ronnie) of Orangeburg; son, Ernest C. Floyd, Jr. (Richelle) of St. Matthews; granddaughter, Elizabeth Floyd Stroman (Preston) of Columbia; sister Viola Smith of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Jolley Acres Nursing Home for their love and care.

A visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. prior to the funeral service.

Memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church 655 Hammond Cross Road, St. Matthews, S.C. 29135 or to a charity of one’s choice.
