Hans R. Bergan, 79 of Orangeburg died Monday June 13, 2016.
A Memorial Service will be held 9:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Chaplain Rob Cely.
The family will receive friends immediately after the Memorial Service.
He was born February 11, 1937 in Tehran, Iran; he was the son of the late Alf Bergan and the late Anne Marie Brochowska Bergan. He was retired from Claflin University as an English Professor. He was preceded in death by a brother, Philipp Bergan and a sister, Astrid Bergan.
Survivors include 4 nieces; Nina Bergan French; Tanya Bergan-Stedman both of California; Stella Bergan of Illinois and Britta Bergan of Italy; His Caregivers; Louise Pollans and Johnna Ogden both of Orangeburg.
