Harold Brooks Bonnette, Jr.

Harold Brooks Bonnette, Jr., 67, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Bamberg Memory Gardens, Highway 78, Bamberg.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Bonnette was born on February 10, 1956, in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late Harold Brooks Bonnette, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Barnes.  He served his country in the United States Navy.  He enjoyed fishing, playing pool league with the Swamp Runners and watching Star Trek.   He was very proud of the fact that he had been sober for the last fifteen years.

Survivors include his life partner, Patricia Fox; daughter, Samantha Gunnells; two grandchildren, Joshua Presley, Hannah Davis; sisters, Deborah Kittrell and special friend, Bobby Wood, Sr., Sherry Sanford (T.C.); brother, Michael Bonnette (Lynn); daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hiebert; stepson, Charles Gunnells; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call at the residence or at the residence of Deborah Kittrell 1529 Shillings Bridge Road, Orangeburg.
