Mr. Harold Charles "Nick" Klinicki, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in Cordova, South Carolina surrounded by his family. Born on August 30, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, he lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his country.
Harold proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, demonstrating a deep sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he embarked on a career that spanned more than four decades as a mechanic with Ethyl Corporation. His commitment to excellence and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Harold was known for his passion for bowling. An avid bowler, he participated enthusiastically in a bowling league organized through Ethel Corporation. He also enjoyed working on small engines—a hobby that reflected both his mechanical skill and his love for hands-on problem-solving.
Harold was deeply devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 59 years, Jackie Williamson Klinicki and by his parents, Mr. Harry Klinicki and Mrs. Florence Kovel. He is survived by his children: James Klinicki (Debra), Linda K. Irick (Cole), and Michael Klinicki (Dell). His legacy continues through nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous additional family members and friends who were touched by his warmth and steadfast presence.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for the compassion and love that were shown to Mr. Harold and his family.
A Funeral Mass will be held on August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2202 Riverbank Drive. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, S.C. 29118.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, Harold will be remembered for the love he shared with those around him and the values he upheld throughout his life.
