Harry Truman Burns

Harry Truman Burns, 77, of Pelion, S.C. passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

A memorial service will e held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel,1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

Mr. Burns was born in Orangeburg, S.C. on April 17, 1945 to the late John Henry Burns and the late Margie Wise Burns.  He served his country in the United States Navy.  He worked for many years at Devro-Teepak as a boiler operator.  Mr. Burns enjoyed playing pool and was an avid golfer.  He was predeceased by siblings Johnny Bruce Burns, Tommy Ray Burns and Carol Anne Dowd.

He is survived by his wife, Judy McClure Burns of the home; daughter, Christie (Carlton) Ashburn of York; son, James Burns of Rock Hill; two very special aunts; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
