Obituary

Harry ONeal Fulton, a devoted family man and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, in Orangeburg, surrounded by his adoring family. Born on April 12, 1952, in Hemingway, S.C., Harry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

Harry proudly served in the United States Army, an experience that shaped not only his character but also his deep appreciation for the values of loyalty and commitment. After 16 years of service, he was discharged honorably and returned to embrace the joys of family life, becoming not only a loving husband and father but also a doting grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is remembered fondly by his beloved children: Dawn F. (Joey) Burnette, Robert E. (Patricia) Fulton, both of Orangeburg, and Richard O. (Shannon) Fulton of Clinton Township, Michigan. Harry’s legacy continues to shine brightly through his grandchildren, Karlie and Victoria Burnette, Mariah Fulton, Thristan Fulton, Toby Bircheat, Britton Fulton, Caleb Fulton, Sydney Fulton, and Addyson Fulton. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his heart.

Harry's family ties extended deep into his roots, with siblings Clara Faye Fulton of Charleston, A.T. (Gwen) Fulton of West Columbia, Richard O. (Sharon) Fulton of Georgetown, Gail McCutcheon-Callahan of Lake City, and Annie F. (Burness) Jones of Charleston, all of whom shared countless memories and moments of laughter throughout the years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kim Rhodey Fulton, and his daughter, Alyson F. Wright, both of whom left an indelible mark on his heart. He also mourned the loss of his parents, Albert Theodore Fulton and Margerline Elizabeth Barrineau Fulton, as well as his brothers, James C. Fulton and Thomas K. Fulton. Each of these losses was a profound sorrow, but Harry carried their memories with him, honoring their lives through the love he so freely shared.

An avid Detroit Lions fan, Harry found joy in cheering for his favorite team, displaying the same passion and enthusiasm in everything he did. His spirit resonated with warmth and kindness, drawing people to him and fostering deep connections throughout his life.

The family will hold a private service in S.C. Burial take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
