Henry Robert Davis, Sr. , 82 of 340 Ada Road; Neeses, SC died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Neeses with Rev. William Jacques and Rev. Robert Templeton officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Hightower, Johnny Fogle, Eugene Chavis, Ron Phillips, Tony Dannelly and Rick Coleman.
He was born March 28, 1931 in Allendale County; SC; the son of the late Dawson E. Davis and the late Louella Garrick Davis. He served in the US Army and was retired from the U.S. Plywood Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; Myrtle Diamond Davis of the home; 1 son; Henry R. Davis, Jr. of Neeses; a step-son; Hugh W. Diamond of North; 2 step grandsons; Dakota Diamond and Hunter Diamond; 1 sister; Eloise D. Fogle of Cope.
Friends may call at the residence; 340 Ada Road; Neeses, SC and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service at Thompson Funeral home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
