Henry W. "Red" Thompson, Sr., 87 of 135 EE Road; Cordova died Monday September 23, 2013 at his residence.

The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg with Rev. Keith Vaughn officiating Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg

Pallbearers will be Ricky Thompson, Brian Hughes, Wesley Thompson, Hank Hughes, Donald Kirby and Jamie Files.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Men's Bible Class of Columbia Road Church of God.

He was born November 20, 1925 in Cope, SC; the son of the late Friendly Lamar Thompson and the late Annie Mae Kirkland Thompson. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Columbia Road Church of God and a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was retired from S.C. Cotton Mills after 22 years of service and was employed with Zeus for 28 years. Survivors include his wife; Billie Jean Padgett Thompson of Cordova; 3 daughters; (The Twins) Julie Ann (Frank) Hutto of Waynesville, NC and Jo Ann (Billy) Rutland of Bolentown and Janet (Tim) Crider of Simpsonville; 2 sons; Henry "Bubba" and (Barbara) Thompson of Cordova; Edward "Eddie" and (Patricia) Thompson of Orangeburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; Very Special Friends; Frank and Pearl Tourville and family of Orangeburg.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT the residence; 135 EE Road; Cordova. VISITATION WILL BE HELD 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg.
