Henry David Stabler

Henry David Stabler, 77, of 516 Bull Swamp Road, North, SC 29112, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence.

The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Fellowship Hall at the church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robbie Hall officiating, with burial in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers will be Duke McIver, Randy Stabler, Albert Brisco, Randy Fanning, Lynn Hooker, and Stabler Inabinet. Honorary pallbearers will be Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Providence Baptist Church.

Mr. Stabler was born September 29, 1936 in Orangeburg, a son of the late H.R. (Doc) Stabler and the late Jenni Lee Hair Stabler. A former employee of Utica Tools and Cooper Power Tools. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Lynn Stabler.

Survivors include his wife; Miriam McIver Stabler of North; five children; Ann Stabler and Patrick Parker of Virginia, Kathy Crouch of Virginia, Gale Stabler and Duane McGee of the home, David and Natalie Hinkle of Neeses, Allison and Lee Brisco of Swansea; one brother; Nick and Kathryn Stabler of St. Matthews; 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence of Lee and Allison Brisco, 208 Inabinet Road, Swansea, SC 29160 and at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., in Orangeburg.

Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Fellowship Hall at Providence Baptist Church.
