Herbert Azel Keitt, Sr. , 82 of Bamberg died Monday February 25, 2013 at UniHealth Post Acute Care in Bamberg A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Bobby Morris officiating.
He was born March 10, 1930 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Herbert Arthur Keitt and the late Martha Mae Antley Keitt. He served in the National Guard for 3 years. He was retired from Albermarle Chemical Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Vivian Brickle Keitt; a brother; J.C. (Ella) Keitt and a sister; Elizabeth Keitt Brown.
Survivors includes his wife; Joan Haddock Keitt of the home; 1 son; Herbert Azel Keitt, Jr. of Cope; 3 daughters; June (Charles) Williams of Cope; Susan (Grover) Dukes of Neeses; Tina (Adrian) McDaniel of Sumter; 10 grandchildren; Lesley (Ray) Edgemon, Krista( Danny) Walling, John Wesley Dukes, Brandi (Tony) Ferron, Britney Odum, Shane, Dorothea, Christopher, Derek and Alexandra; 5 great grandchildren; Nicholas, Jacob, Kayla, Matthew and Hunter; 5 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild and his father-in-law; McKeithon Haddock, Sr.
VISITATION WILL BE HELD from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. before the service.
