Hugh Marvin Jones, Jr., 86 of 1180 Wolfe Trail, Orangeburg died Sunday April 7, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Orangeburg with Father James Dubrouillet officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Graveside Services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, April 15, 2013 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia.
He was born December 4, 1926 in Portland, Oregon; the son of the late Hugh Marvin Jones, Sr. and the late Margaret Brittingham Jones Deegan. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church; a member of the Catholic Discussing Group and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was retired from Edisto School Systems and John Hopkins Industries as a Psychologist.
Survivors include 2 sons; Hugh Marvin Jones and Bill Jones both of Baltimore, MD; 2 daughters; Bette and Greta; a half-brother; Bill Jones of Baltimore, MD; special friends; Frances Tumbleston of the Methodist Oaks and Earl and Denise Quay of Orangeburg.
A VIGIL PRAYER AND VISITATION WILL BE HELD at 4:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.
