Inez (Ruple) Huff

Inez Ruple Huff , 83, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Oaks in Orangeburg.   Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Cattle Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bowman.  Rev. Douglas Marchant will be officiating.  Revs. Robert and Carol Cannon will be assisting.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cassaday, Daniel Cassaday, Stephen Hutto, Albert Bennett and David Hunt.

Mrs. Huff was born on March 20, 1934 in Orangeburg County.  She was the daughter of the late Marion Dennis Ruple and the late Mary Annie Thomas Ruple.  Mrs. Inez graduated from Branchville High School in 1952 as the Valedictorian of her class.  Mrs. Huff was a lifelong member of Cattle Creek United Methodist Church in Bowman.  She loved flowers, working in her yard, sewing and bird watching.  She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, daughter, sister and caregiver.  She was predeceased by her husband of over sixty years, Edward Thomas Huff and her sisters, Mary R. Scarberry and Verna R. Wunsch.

Survivors include her son, William T. “Tommy” Huff of Orangeburg; daughter, Phyllis and A. Dewall Waters of Orangeburg; brother, Marion David and Gladys Ruple of Branchville; sister, Patsy and James “Jimmy” Hutto of Branchville; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Neely Palmetto Wing in the Sheffield Building for their love and care.
