Jack Carl Moore, 91 of Orangeburg
died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014
at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg
with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg
with Rev. Gary Peterson officiating.
Pallbearers are Mark McDaniel, Sammy Moore, Donald
Wooten, Al Pooser, Mike Pooser and Charlie Pace
He was born June 4, 1922 in Alpharetta, GA; the son of the
late Peyton Randolph Moore and the late Roan Burnette
Moore. He served in the U.S. Air Force and served in World
War II and the Korean War. He was the Dean of the
Industrial Division at Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College
and was a teacher at OC Tech. He was a member of St. Paul’s
United Methodist Church. He was the widower of the late Ruby
Lee Moore.
Survivors include 1 daughter; Eleanore Wooten
and Joseph Marion Wooten of Orangeburg; 2 sons; Michael Carl
Moore and Joan Patrick Moore of Orangeburg; Benjamin Athell Moore of Phoenix,
Arizona; 2 grandchildren; Amanda Wooten Jones and Matthew
Brandon Jones of Pelion; Rachael Moore of Lexington; 2 great
grandchildren; Christopher James Jones and Haylee Alexis Jones both
of Pelion; 2 sisters; Nell Chambers of Georgia and Ann and Ralph
Bowen of Florida; 1 brother; Sam Moore of Georgia.
Friends may call at the home of Eleanore Wooten; 244 Rutledge;
Orangeburg and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 PM Friday, April 18, 2014 at
Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church;
1356 Amelia Street; Orangeburg, SC 29115.
