Jack L. Murphy, Jr.
December 28, 1953 — March 10, 2017
Jack L. Murphy, Jr. , 63, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Orangeburg. Rev. Charlie Snipes will be officiating.
Mr. Murphy was born on December 28, 1953 in Orangeburg. He was the son of Jack L. Murphy, Sr. and the late Frances Fogle Murphy. He served four years in the United States Navy. Mr. Murphy worked for over 20 years as a Hotel Manager in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Survivors include his father, Jack L. Murphy, Sr.; brother Larry Murphy; sisters, Dianne Reynolds (Allen) and Melody Summers (Chris); children, Heather Smith and Nancy Blevins; grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Skyleigh Smith, Nolan Crosby and Ethan Hutto.
The family would like to thank Jack’s caregiver, Dianne Adair, for her love and support that she provided to him the past few years. They will forever be grateful.
