James N. Biggers , 78 of Bowman died Thursday , November 24, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 before the service at the church.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Bowman Southern Methodist Church with Dr. William “Bill” Davison and Rev. Marvin Clark directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

He was born January 8, 1938 in Athens, GA; the son of James T. “Zeke” Biggers and the late Frances Haralson Biggers. From 1961 to 1972 he was employed with the Georgia State Patrol and was the 1st Trooper to travel and accompany Coach Vince Dooley and the University Georgia Bull Dogs. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. Mr. Jim was Manager of Ireland’s Restaurant from 1972 to 1977 and employed with J & J Center from 1977 to 1979. He retired from Brack Rowe Chevrolet in Athens, GA after serving from 1980 until 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Glana Banks Biggers of Bowman, SC; 2 daughters; Jennifer Clark (Richard Potts)  of Arlington, VA; Jody (Joshua) Christian of Annapolis, Maryland.

Tracie (Richard) Fales of Orangeburg; 2 Step-daughters; Leigh Ann (Andy) Rutledge of Holly Hill; grandchildren; Lida Christian, Amelia Christian, Lillian Christian and Jessica Clark and a step granddaughter, Amber Rutledge;  his cat Bullet and his watchdog, Rolex.

Visitation will be held  1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday before the service at Bowman Southern Methodist Church.
