James P. "Butch" Carlton, 58, died Saturday October 20, 2013.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 21, 2013 at the Four Holes Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom McElhaney officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. before the service at the church.
Mr. Carlton was born December 7, 1954 in Spartanburg, S.C., a son of Margie Earley Carlton Hallman and the late James Palmer Carlton, Sr. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Carlton Aston. He loved riding his Harley, his four wheelers and loved to cook for family and friends.
Surviving is his wife; Brenda Strickland Carlton of the home; daughter, Misty Carlton Girts and Jonathon of Cameron; 2 grandchildren; Aidan and Baylor both of Cameron; his Mother and step-Dad; Margie and Henry Hallman of Orangeburg; 2 step-brothers; 1 nephew; Player Aston and a number of nieces and nephews; 2 special pets; Slam and Lucky who he loved dearly.
Friends may call at the residence of Joe and Dotty Strickland; 8436 Old State Road, Cameron.
